Change your
screen settings to 1024 x 768 resolution.

Place the CD into
its drive and the program will automatically begin to up-load to
computers hard drive (C:\) prompting one or more operator questions
along the way. If the computer hard drive does not have enough disk
space available the program will stop its up-load and prompt the
operator. The operator must then make space available on the computer
and repeat the load process.

Click on the
InfoStar Play icon on your desktop to play program. Press space
bar to stop program. |

To remove the
InfoStar program from the computer use standard Windows operator
function. From Start
select, Control Panel
and then the Add/Remove Program icon. From the center screen
menu left click on InfoStar. Click the
Add/Remove
button located below right.
There are two (2)
modules provided in every program. Both appear on your desktop:

Player is the
continuous play program |
 |
Scriptor allows
the user to edit the play sequence of the Player program and to
review individual screens. |
NOTE: Most computers already have a Flash Player on
it; however, we highly recommend that you download a FREE copy of
"Flash Player" from
www.Adobe.com (located in the center of the
page mid way down under shortcuts "Download Flash Player".

InfoStar Player
icon
plays continuously, silent and unattended.
Begin Play -
Double click the left side of the mouse to begin play on the InfoStar
Player icon.
Hint: When the program begins to play move the mouse
(hourglass) off the screen to the bottom right corner of the screen.
Stop
Play -
It will play all day or until you double click (the mouse) on the
screen or press the keyboard space bar, which will stop the program
play and prompt a YES or NO question. Move the mouse to the YES and
click. This takes you back to the main desktop screen (with all of the
icon selections).
Screen
Saver -
The Player program can also be setup as a screen saver. To set-up
Player as a screen saver right-click on the Windows desktop-screen and
select properties and then select Screen Saver. On the left menu
select “Issaver”. On the right menu select the number of minutes
before the Player program will begin to play (recommend 3 Minute). If
there is no “Issaver” listed remove the InfoStar program
(See Remove Program Instructions
above)
and re-install the InfoStar program CD. As it installs there will be
questions prompted to the operator. Select (click on) the box that
says “Program to run as a Screen Saver”. This selection will install
the “Issaver” choice on the menu. Once the program has been reloaded
repeat the screen saver instructions as they are listed above.

InfoStar
Scriptor icon (Book)
allows you to view individual library and new screen updates, and to
edit the Player program play sequence. The right side is the Play
Sequence menu.
Play
Sequence
- The files in the Play Sequence menu exist in the InfoStar Library
located on the left side under the heading “InfoStar” and subsequently
the InfoStar sub-categories.

File Name |
When you click on a file listed in
the Play Sequence it will become highlighted. If you then
look at the screens top Blue Line you will see a full description
of that file and its Library location. |

Remove File |
With a file highlighted you may REMOVE a file by clicking on the
REMOVE button below the Play Sequence area. |

Move a File |
With a file highlighted you may MOVE a file to another location
within the Play Sequence script with the up and down arrows
located below right of the Play Sequence menu area. |

Play A Single
Screen |
With a file highlighted you may PLAY ONE single screen by clicking
on the PLAY ONE button located below the Play Sequence area. |

Insert Loop Start |
Highlight the line in the Play Sequence area where you would like
the program to begin playing as it loops for the second play
cycle. Files located above the LOOP (INFINITE) line will
play the first play cycle only and will not be played again until
the Program is closed and restarted. |

Insert Loop End |
Highlight the line in the Play Sequence area where you would the
program to stop playing and click the INSERT LOOP END button.
The programs Play Sequence will stop playing at the LOOP END and
re-loop to the Play Sequence program beginning (the Insert Loop
line) and continue to its play cycle. Any files located
under the LOOP END LINE will not be played. |
Screen
Library
- The InfoStar Library of screens is located on the left side under
the heading “InfoStar” and subsequently the InfoStar sub-categories;
e.g. Bridge, Cosmetic, Finance, etc.

Screen Selection |
Click on your sub-category selection and the screens within the
category will be listed in the “Flick Files” screen middle menu
area. |

Arrange Screens |
You may arrange the list of screens in the “Flick Files” menu.
Click on the top left gray line labeled File Name and arrange
your file names alphabetically, or click on the top right gray line
labeled Created and arrange your files by newest date at the
top to the oldest screen date at the bottom. |

Play A Single
Screen |
With a file highlighted in the middle menu area you may PLAY ONE
single screen by clicking on the PLAY ONE button located directly
below. |
Add a Screen to the Play Sequence
- To add a screen from the middle area to the right-side Play Sequence
area you must fist highlight the line on the right-side Play Sequence
area where you want the screen to be inserted. If you do not
highlight a line the screen you wish to add be automatically be placed
at the bottom of the Play Sequence script after the “end-loop” and
will not be played. After you have successfully selected the Play
Sequence line you wish highlight the middle menu screen to be
inserted. Click on the ADD button at the bottom of the middle screen.
Saving a new
Script
- Once you have completed any edits to the Play Sequence script to
then need to save the file. Select the upper left-hand corner
command line of the screen. Click on FILE and then select SAVE
SEQUENCE FILE from the drop-down box. Your script file only plays
from the file named startup.fs. You may name it something
else to save a particular script file for a later date, however, you
then must again save it as startup.fs or the program will not play. Complete the saving of your edited script file by selecting SAVE.
